Normalmente cuando salgo de Shanghai es por trabajo en alguna ciudad de China. Las otras salidas de esta macro-ciudad son por ocio, pero siempre a otro país. Esta vez, aprovechando el puente del día de Difuntos (7 de abril), me fui a hacer el guiri a Nanjing. Fue durante muchos años la capital de China. Mi visita duró tres días, sin agobios y dejando cosas por ver. Es como un Ávila, un Lugo o un Carcassone, pero a lo bestia. La muralla tiene unos 600 años y ha sido reconstruida en varias ocasiones. Entre este muro de más de 35 kilómetros de longitud, un lago enorme en medio de la ciudad y la montaña Zhongshan las expectativas de cualquier turista quedan más que satisfechas.
Para este fin de semana que se suponía primaveral y con posibilidad de lluvias pero también temperaturas que podían llegar a los 25 grados, el contenido de mi maleta era variado. Me sobró la mitad de la ropa porque ni las botas ni el jersey fueron necesarios. Para hacerlo más fácil metí prendas en blanco, negro y gris y que se pudiesen combinar rápidamente. Aquí os dejo mis looks para los tres días en Nanjing y que pueden servir para cualquier otro fin de semana que tengáis que estar de un lado para otro, viajando, de compras e incluso trabajando. También son perfectos para enfrentarse a masas de turistas (chinos) y no morir en el intento.
Día 1. Unos vaqueros de toda la vida (o como se llaman ahora, mom pants -estos son de Pull & Bear) son una buena opción para un viaje. Esa mañana Shanghai se presentaba caluroso y Nanjing se suponía que también para ser 5 de abril. Así qué en los pies me calcé mis Birks para sumar otro punto de comodidad. Las camisetas a rayas son mis favoritas después de las blancas. Esta de manga francesa (Pull & Bear) se adapta a todas las combinaciones posibles. La blazer fluida de Zara creo que sólo me falta ponerla con el pijama... ¡Jajaja!, es broma. Pero sí que me la habéis visto más veces. Lo mismo ocurre con el trío de Céline y las gafas de sol de Pull & Bear.
Día 2. Mis amigas me dicen que soy mucho de enseñar pierna. Y en parte no se equivocan, porque en cuanto aparece el primer rayo de sol ahí estoy yo en falda y sin medias. Esta es de punto jersey en color gris de Zara. La combiné con top blanco perfecto para el calor, también de Zara, y las chaquetas que me acompañan en este viaje. La superior y que llevo encima de los hombros me la compré el año pasado cuando buscaba una prenda de abrigo de entretiempo. En los pies, las populares y míticas Adidas Stan Smith y repito bolso y gafas de sol (la maleta no da para más).
Día 3. Vuelvo con las Stan Smith, los accesorios y las chaquetas de los días anteriores. La falda tubo la he sustituido por esta de tela de gabardina negra con botones en el lateral. Le apliqué un poco de DIY porque me llegaba casi al tobillo (son las cosas de ser bajita) después de comprarla en Zara (Trafaluc) hace un mes. La camiseta es de mi viaje a Hong Kong el pasado septiembre. Se trata de una edición especial de Alexander Wang para Lane Crawford (antes de que inaugurasen en Shanghai otro punto más de esta macro-tienda multimarca en la que todo es precioso y carísimo -la camiseta fue una excepción-).
¿Cómo preparáis vosotros la maleta para un fin de semana de turismo? Yo puedo ser muy ordenada un día y a la semana siguiente, completamente caótica, lo que implica llevar ropa de más.
When I usually go out of Shanghai is because of work at some other city in China. The rest of scapes from this macr-city are a search of leisure, but normally to a foreign country. Taking the chance of Tomb Sweeping Day bank holiday (April 7th), this time I went to Nanjing to act like a real foreign tourist. It was the capital of China for many years. My visit took three days, without any strains and leaving spots for a future time. Nanjing is like Avila, Lugo or Carcassone, but like crazy. The city wall is around 600 years old and it has been rebuilt in several occassions. Counting this wall of more than 35 kilometers long, a huge lake right in the middle of the city and Zhongshan mountain, any tourist expectations are more than satistied.
This weekend was expected to have a very spring weather and with some possibility of rain, but temperatures could also reach 25 degrees Celsius, so the content of my luggage was quite assorted. I didn't use half of the clothes because neither the boots nor the sweater were necessary. To make it easier I put pieces in black, white and grey in order to get them paired quickly. These are the looks I wore for the three days in Nanjing and which also can be used for any other type of weekend when you have to be going on errands, travelling, doing shopping or even working. They are perfect too for putting face to face to the wave of (Chinese) tourists and not die by trying.
Day 1. A pair of old-times jeans (or how they are called now, mom pants -these are Pull & Bear) are a good choice for a trip. That morning Shanghai was quite warm and Nanjing was supposed to be the same being April 5th. There I wore my Birks what means one point more of comfort. Striped tees are my favorites after the white ones. These 3/4 sleeved (Pull & Bear) one fits into every type of combinations. About the Zara light blazer, I guess that I only had left a pairing with my PJ's... Hahaha!, I'm kidding. But you've already seen it before. Same occurs to Céline bag and the Pull & Bear sunnies.
Day 2. My friends alwasys tell me that I'm very into being on bare legs. In part they are not wrong, because once the first sunshine shows up there I am on skirt and no tights. This one grey by Zara is made of jersey knit fabric. I paired it with a white top, also Zara's, perfect for hot weather; and the jacket and blazer which were with me during this trip. The outer layer worn over the shoulders I bought it last year when looking for an in-between seasons outerwear. On my feet, the popular and famous Adidas Stan Smith and I repeat with bag and sunglasses (there was no more room in my suitcase).
Day 3. Again Stan Smith's, accessories and the jackets from these last days. I replaced the pencil skirt for this black gabardine fabric one with sided-buttons. I had to apply a little bit of DIY because it was ankle-length on me (things of being petite) after purchasing it at Zara (Trafaluc) one month ago. The tee is from a trip to Hong Kong last September. It's an special edition designed by Alexander Wang for Lane Crawford (before Shanghai got launched its store of this multi-brand macro shop where everything is gorgeous and unaffordable -this t-shirt was an exception-).
How do you pack for a weekend of sightseeing? One day I can be very tidy and next week, absolutely messy and end up with too many clothes in my luggage.
