The good part of living in China is that this thing of Chinese New Year holidays is taken very serious, so much that we have an entire week of holidays. We aliens look for any excuse to escape from this country and find the most genuine spot at our possibilities in order to rival with our colleagues and see who has come back more bronzed, who drank more daikiris and who got the sunniest days. And here we are back again. Chinese people with all the preparations to receive the year of the horse (it's my year, by the way) on the right foot and celebrating with their families, and we, causing envy to the rest of the world. To the ones at the North hemisphere because it's still very cold and never stops raining. To the ones at the South hemisphere because their summer vacay are almost finished.

Of course, during this week you won't know too much from me. I will only keep leaving marks at Instagram (@cristinaricopedrosa) about turquoise blue waters, hammocks and parasols. Yes, I'm heading to the beach and I've already got my kit prepared. Birkenstock, white shirt, American truck driver cap, polarized sunnies, sun screen and lots of reading. See you soon!
